City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley

For our Denim Launch Party, we have partnered with City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley, a non profit organization that believes you can help the right students at the right time with the right supports. 5% of all sales from our Launch Party goes to benefit City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley. We thank you for all your support and involvement.Focus and Mission

City Year’s mission is to build democracy through citizen service, civic leadership and social entrepreneurship. It is through service that we can demonstrate the power and idealism of young people, engage citizens to benefit the common good, and develop young leaders of the next generation.

City Year is wholly focused on fighting the national dropout crisis. We have committed to leverage the talent, energy and idealism of corps members to serve as tutors, mentors and role models in schools to help students stay on track – and get back on track – to graduate.

History and Inspiration

They built City Year with the conviction that one person can make a difference; and since its inception, City Year has promoted the vision of service as a common expectation – and a real opportunity – for citizens all around the world.

Somaly Mam Foundation

For our Lotus Style Lounge at KnoxSF on March 31, 2012 we donated a portion of our proceeds to Somaly Mam Foundation.

"The Somaly Mam Foundation is a nonprofit charity committed to ending modern day slavery in North America and around the world."

History and Inspiration

Human trafficking, a multi-billion dollar industry, is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. With over two million women and children sold into sexual slavery each year, it is a global crisis that must be stopped. More resources are critically needed to support the rescue and rehabilitation of these young victims.

Their mission is to give victims and survivors a voice in their lives, liberate victims, end slavery, and empower survivors as they create and sustain lives of dignity.

Imagine living in a society without clean water. Water is a source of life that we are blessed to receive more abundantly than others. After seeing the videos from charity: water, we knew that we could help make a difference in the global water crisis. The great thing about donating to charity: water is that 100% of our money goes directly to the water projects, and when the projects are finished, they'll show us the communities we've helped. A true fact: Women in Ethiopia spend 3-4 hours walking to a swamp or contaminated river to collect water for their families. As a result, sicknesses arise and sometimes death. With your help, we can help provide clean, drinking water to nourish the lives of many poverty-stricken families.

Please join us in our movement to provide 'water for life' in countries that need it most.
